Unfortunately, I don't think I'm quite the right person for this product, as although I believe a relaxed and positive state of mind is healthy for my unborn baby, I have always struggled with contrived relaxation exercises.
Nevertheless, I sat down to listen to Relaxation for Calm Pregnancy with an open mind, knowing that life is more hectic than I'd like and some quiet time out should be a good idea.
However the as I lay down to follow the CD, I immediately found the pace hard to follow. It started with a series of breathing exercises which in themselves were relaxing, but the accompanying music and commentary became an irritation.
I felt "hurried" into a relaxed state and, actually, some breaks in the dialogue would have aided the process greatly. As it moved onto the main "exercise" I simply could not get into the right mindset and found the process repetitive and far from relaxing.
On the plus side, I did lie down for half an hour in the afternoon, but I'm not sure that the positive results were anything to do with Relaxation for Calm Pregnancy !
Relaxation for Calm Pregnancy is available from www.babyjourney.com and costs £14.99 plus £2.50 p&p.
